ChowkNews is about getting together a bunch of talented people who care about thier neighbourhood and would like to make a difference to the way we move to the future.
People who can keep thier eyes ears and hearts open to the happenings in their surroundings are our best bet. since we want the ordinary everyday news to come in from them because we live our lives everyday and not just on some events…
We wish to capture the essence of everyday living for the generations to come so that they may not have to dig up archeological sites and guess how we lived and led our lives.
Small news like the introduction of a new neighbour, coverage of a ganesh utsav, a wedding or even a new car is welcome. this will tell us that we care for our neighbours even though we may not have the time to meet on a cup of coffee ….
local institutions and businesses always have something to say and this too could be covered for example our own neighbourhood in vidyavihar has a fantastic institution Somaiya college here the admissions for the eleventh standard are in progress an editor could take time to find out the happenings there and relate it on the site. in fact the editor could also find out a lot of facts that would be usefull to the students seeking admission there.
